New Membership Structure for AWIA

The time has finally arrived – AWIA is upgrading its membership structure! This is an exciting and long overdue project for us, one which we’ve been hinting at for a while now.

Why have we changed our membership structure?

As an organisation, AWIA has evolved greatly in the last 5 years. What we found is that our previous membership structure didn’t reflect those changes or the nature of how things have evolved for digital businesses.

Our previous structure had tiered options depending on the size of your business, which was both confusing to potential members and difficult to manage for us. We’ve now simplified the structure to make it easier for you to know which option to choose.

Our goal for the new AWIA membership is to focus on three things:

  1. More value for you, in the form of discounts on the digital tools you know and love, as well as resources and templates to help you evolve and streamline your work
  2. More opportunities to learn, from each other and industry experts, to increase the quality of the work you do, and
  3. More opportunities for business development, whether you’re a student just starting out or a seasoned business owner looking to generate leads.

We now have 5 membership tiers:

  • Business
  • Freelancer & Independent
  • Student
  • Digital Professional
  • AWIA Partner

If you’re already an AWIA member, we’re going to migrate you over to the new structure starting July 2023.

This will mean the amount you’ll pay for the next year will be different depending on the current membership tier you’re been on.

As a thank you for your continued support, you may be eligible for an automatic discount to your next yearly membership - you'll be contacted by our Membership Coordinator with details.
